THE ROSE FESTIVAL
The Bogense Rose Festival 2012 is the fifth in a row, continuing the flowering tradition. The festival, growing bigger every year, is taking place on the first week-end of August.
The interest in the event is overwhelming and during the week-end hundreds of people are visiting Bogense enjoying the beautiful decorations all over the town.
Around 1.5 million outdoor roses are produced in three large rose nurseries in the neighbourhood of Bogense presenting a fascinating view, not to mention the lovely scent.
Several times a day during the week-end a bus will take you to the rose fields.
The shops are all participating in the Rose Festival, presenting beautifully decorated windows and offering a good bargain.
In the streets booths are offering workshops and various exhibitions and at the end of the week-end all the flowers can be bought.
