Otterup is situated in the eastern part of the municipality. Here you will find many examples of art made by local artists.
The imposing monoliths welcome you to the town and the Midgard Serpent guards the renovated market square. Pay a visit to the church and enjoy the beautiful altarpiece or take a walk on “Lovers Lane” and have a look at the carved figures from the fairytale “The Tinderbox” by Hans Christian Andersen.
Every Saturday throughout the summer market is held in the town square of Otterup. Here you will find all sorts of things, from fresh vegetables and fruit to socks, wool and toys.
A good bargain can be found at the annual Big Market. Apart from booths and amusement park, there will be entertainment and music day and night.
Even more things are for sale on the ‘Otterup by Night’, taking place three times during the summer, when the shops are open late.
On the last Friday of October, Halloween is celebrated in Otterup. The shops and the market square will be decorated with pumpkins, ghosts etc.
