The numerous churches in the area are all special. This makes them all small attractions because of e.g. a special building style, fascinating murals, interesting altarpieces or pulpits.
Bogense Church is unusual with the tower facing south-east as it has always served as a seamark.
Moreover the roof of the tower is covered with hand-cut oak chips from Bornholm.
The church has been closed in 2009 due to restoration and it will open again in february 2010.
Søndersø Church is known for its fascinating murals and a remarkable iron-plated door with a Latin inscription.
Otterup Church is placed on the highest point of the town. The altarpiece was painted by the artist Ellen Hofman-Bang from the manor house Hofmansgave.
