Nordfyns Museum was founded in 1920 by Peter Trautner, former mayor and district medical officer.
The museum - for many years placed in the basement of the city hall – was opened to the public in 1934.
When The Northfunen Railways were closed down in 1965, the museum moved into the old station building.
In 2006, as the post office was closed down, the exhibition area has been extended, and new exciting plans are made for the future.
In the museum you will also find the local archive.
Outside the museum there is a memorial to the founder Peter Trautner.
