Tværskov Mill
Tværskov Mill lies in the village Tværskov. Tværskov consisted originally of 3 farms, the mill and 5 small houses which can be dated back to 1388. Tværskov is a rare example of a well preserved “forest clearing village”. The village is establish in the middle-aged as an offshoot from the neighbour village Rue.
Tværskov Mill is mentioned in 1498 when Tønne Bryske, a son from the manor house Margård, inherited Tværskov Mill.
The existing buildings is from 1730. The buildings was renovated in 1991. The millwork and mill wheel does not exist anymore. The mill was working as a corn mill until 1950. Today there is a Bed and Breakfast in the old farmhouse. On the fields grazes American bisones.
