Several times a day the carillon is heard all over town - playing from the tower of the town hall in Bogense. Every time a new lovely melody is played.

The repertoire - changing according to the season - is a mix of Danish and international songs and some of our national hymns.

The history of the carillon goes: On the occasion of Bogense celebrating its 700 anniversary, a collection for a gift to the town - a carillon for the Bogense Town Hall tower - was started among the citizens.

The main donator was a local former skipper. Also the former Fyns Amt (County) contributed with a major amount. The rest was collected among the citizens of Bogense.
